How to Configure Biometric Devices

Step-by-Step Guide

1Install the Biometric Device

Mount the device near the entry point and connect to power and network.

2Connect to Wi-Fi or LAN

Configure the device for Wi-Fi or LAN network on the same network as the ERP.

3Register the Device in ERP

Go to Attendance → Biometric → Add Device. Enter the device serial number and IP.

4Enroll Student Fingerprints

Use the bulk enrollment option or capture fingerprints/faces one-by-one.

5Test the Sync

Have a test student check in and verify the log appears in the ERP dashboard.

6Enable Parent Alerts

Turn on automatic SMS to parents for entry and exit events.
